Mesh Embroidery for Face Mask

The start of some embroidery on mesh fabric for the face mask in my final piece.

When speaking to Amanda about our projects she made me think of this idea to create the covid virus embroidery pieces on the scrap fabrics, cut them out and have them velcroed onto the painting. This could be an interesting concept of how the virus itself can spread and ‘attach’ onto other people. As in if it was safe, exhibition participants could interact with the artwork and remove, rearrange, and place the embroidery patches onto themselves as they walk around to visually show how much they can spread. Please feel free to let me know what you think about this idea. If it’s no good I would not take offense at all for your opinions.
