Ignorance is Bliss – Week 1 Researching the Coral Reefs

I watched the documentary Chasing Coral. I knew the coral bleaching was bad, but this documentary shows how severe and how much of an impact we have on climate change, and what it has already done to the reefs all around the globe. I am upset. If I didn’t see this documentary I wouldn’t feel so strong about this project as I do now. This started as a passion project, but it is more than that now.

These two pages of notes are just the beginning. I have to learn more about specific corals and the other organisms they interact with in their environment. Then once I understand more about the ecosystem as a whole, I will be able to design images to make into my prints.

Here are some links from my research outside of the Chasing Coral documentary.
